Destination Wedding Photography
Do you dream of a Destination Wedding? Do you dream of a wedding ceremony location that’s breath-taking and romantic? That will resonate with you for a lifetime? Do you want Romance with a capital ‘R’? If the answer’s yes, read on.
So, achingly gorgeous destination wedding photography will of course be essential. But what will your dream look like beyond that? Perhaps the romance of an outdoor celebration by a beautiful Italian lake is the dream? Or maybe you would love a chic Parisian wedding? Wherever you hold your special day, it should be something personal to you. It should be a place that resonates with you and lifts your soul.
How do you know it’s the perfect location for you? You’ll ‘know when you know’, perhaps in the same way as my wife when she first saw La Suvera near Siena. She was speechless and just cried, overwhelmed by the joy she felt right in that moment. At being there together, with great friends, for such a special occasion.
The day that we held our destination wedding, we thought that it was one of the best days of our lives. Everything came together in what we felt was some kind of cosmic blessing! With a few of our closest friends present, we had a beautiful ceremony at the tiny church at Relais La Suvera. The sun shone (it was hot!) and the tears flowed once more (me more than anyone!), as we renewed our vows and our commitment to each other.
Italy, and the memories of our own celebration is special to us both. It’s one of the reasons why I love photographing destination weddings. Of course there are so many more amazing places for destination weddings. I also love to photograph in France and across Europe, Scandinavia and occasionally beyond!
There is something rather exciting about being asked being able to photograph celebrations in amazing destinations; it gives me the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world and have the privilege to witness, as well as document, lovely couples getting married in a truly special setting. From the gardens of Versailles, to ancient Italian castles and grand villas with tropical gardens these, locations are an awesome combination of achingly pretty tempered by their very grandness – who wouldn’t want to have a magical day in such a beautiful location.
