Gabrielle and Tony chose lovely Chippenham Park for their Summer Wedding. Why is Chippenham Park so lovely? Well, it’s nestled in 300 gorgeous acres of parkland. A must for an English summer wedding. It’s also an exquisite English country house wedding venue, inside and out. The perfect combination wouldn’t you say? I for one, was so excited to photograph Gabrielle and Tony’s summer wedding there!
Gabrielle and Tony are just so ‘together’ as a couple. But, their day was all about family. Their little daughter ‘stole the show’ with her lovely smile! And, from bridal preparation to the final fireworks the whole day was fantastic.
Beautiful Bridal Preparations
Gabrielle got ready for the day in the calm interior of the bridal suite. Yet the morning wasn’t without a little emotional ‘wobble’! As Gabrielle sat for her make-up and hair there were a few tears. Thankfully, the fabulous Bo at Botias Tailor Made Hair and Make-Up came to the rescue at that point. With a plentiful supply of tissues!
It was without a doubt one of the loveliest bridal prep’s that I’ve had the pleasure to be part of. There were so many lovely moments during the morning. I loved being able to capture Gabrielle as she sat for her make-up. The big windows that look out on the gardens provided a perfect reflection. And, I just adore the few moments she had with her little daughter before getting dressed. There’s a real bond between them that comes across in the photos and they both look so happy and relaxed.
Oh, and just a couple more things. The Bridal Suite mirrors are stunning. They’re amazing for capturing reflections. The photos of Gabrielle getting dressed and sorting out ‘final touches’ are just dreamy. And the best thing of all? The love and friendship between Gabrielle and her bridesmaids. When they joined her for one last hug before the ceremony, it completed a perfect morning.
A Wedding Ceremony of Lakeside Loveliness
Gabrielle’s father linked arms with her and together they walked to the ceremony. The emotion and nerves started to ‘kick in’. It is after all ‘a big day’. I think the calming scent of the garden lavender helped to quell a few nerves! It was the quintessential English summer wedding day.
Arriving on the arm of her father for the ceremony there were naturally a few more tears. It’s an especially ‘nerve-wracking’ moment. But, by the time the ceremony started at The Lake Summerhouse, it was all smiles. Watched by their guests including their baby daughter, the ceremony was just beautiful. Oh, and the elegant gardens of Chippenham Park provided an absolutely perfect backdrop.
Champagne, Romance and Fireworks
The sun shone. The sound of laughter and clinking glasses filled the air. So how perfect is that? Gabrielle and Tony couldn’t have asked for a better location for Champagne and Canapés.
With everyone mingling and chatting, Gabrielle and Tony escaped for a quiet moment. Most of all,it gave me an opportunity to photograph a series of romantic portraits of them both. They’re so happy together, the laughter and romance is (as always) completely natural. I love the photos of them sharing a joke together. I especially love the image of Tony helping Gabrielle with her shoe on the manicured lawns. So romantic and chivalrous!
So, after emotional speeches and sharing of many jokes, it’s time to kick back and party. Before we do, let’s revisit why their wedding at Chippenham Park was so fabulous. A gorgeous summers evening? Check. Stunning light? Check. Amazing views across the lake? Check. I have so many favourites from that evening! Let’s start with the first dance. A lone musician plays. Tony and Gabrielle dance to the music under the twinkling ‘starlight’ of the marquee. Romance with a capital ‘R’. And when it came to the end of the evening? Everyone gathering to light their sparklers was such fun. It brought to a close one fabulous Chippenham Park summer wedding day.
And finally, there’s just time to say thank you to Tony and Gabrielle. Being part of their day was a real honour and an absolute blast!
