A gorgeous bride, an elegant groom and a fabulous boutique hotel wedding venue. Three perfect ingredients for a gorgeous English summer wedding. And, of course it’s the perfect backdrop for relaxed unobtrusive wedding photography.
The interior of this boutique wedding venue is eclectic and stylish. So it’s no surprise that it provided the perfect space for Rebecca and Nick’s wedding celebrations.
Stunning natural light allowed for beautiful relaxed bridal portraits of Rebecca by the window. Even her Christian Louboutin shoes took centre stage; placed on a deep window ledge, next to a quirky red cricket ball key fob. One of the few times when England and France are in harmony!
This very stylish couple chose to have their ceremony at a tiny riverside church in Hartford. It was so pretty and so ‘them’. Set in lush grounds away from the ‘madding crowd’, Nick waited with his best man for the guests and Rebecca to arrive. He looked very ‘pulled together’ in his bespoke morning suit. But not even the best tailoring could hide those nerves!
But, I have to say, I just love the intimate images of Nick with his mum in the church. She holds out a reassuring hand to him as he waits for bride Rebecca to walk down the aisle. Truly, there are a few days in everyone’s life when emotions really show through. And for me, the photos of Nick and his mum show the strength of the bond between mother and son, But also the bond of love and happiness for the new life that he and Rebecca are beginning. Beautiful.
Rebecca looked radiant in a Sanyukta Shrestha bridal gown, worn with a full length veil. Her father’s arm provided reassurance and support as she made her way to church. Not to be outdone her father was resplendent in a full dress kilt. Stylish and dignified!
To complete the stylish arrival, the Cambridge Bagpiper piped them into church. A magnificent nod to a Scottish heritage……………
I love that a few cheeky moments were captured too. A bridesmaid with a ‘thumbs up’ and a few cheeky glances from guests as they arrived didn’t go unnoticed.
Simplicity and elegance are the hallmarks of All Saints Church and there was a really cosy feel to the ceremony. As Rebecca came down the aisle to meet Nick, she could see clearly the smiles and tears of everyone attending. During the ceremony there were many moments of laughter. And, once more Nick’s mum provided a reassuring hand. This time during the signing of the register. Priceless moments indeed…….
Leaving the church as ‘Mr and Mrs’, Nick and Rebecca greeted their guests in the church grounds before sneaking away for a few moments. Just a few romantic portraits by the riverside before the traditional confetti throw.. And who knew confetti throwing could be so enthusiastic? So much fun!
Arriving in a tiny Triumph Herald classic car, Nick and Becky put their own signature onto the day. They led the celebrations at this gorgeous boutique wedding venue with ease and style! As the champagne flowed, guests chatted on the terrace and around the venue.
The conservatory restaurant provided a perfect light filled setting for entertaining wedding speeches. And, the cake cutting was unique. Just look at Rebecca’s expression as they prepare to cut their cake!
A sassy first dance set the tone for the party follow. What a fabulous fun day……………
