Bedfordshire Wedding Photographer

Are you planning your wedding in Bedfordshire and looking for a wedding photographer with a relaxed unobtrusive photography style? Then you have come to the right place!

As a documentary style wedding photographer, working in Bedfordshire is just amazing. It’s has the great advantage of being surrounded by some beautiful countryside, but is also within easy reach of London. Fabulous if you want urban or country glamour that can equal our wonderful capital city without the extra effort of holding your day there.

Naturally you’ll want somewhere gorgeous and welcoming, and a location that will give you some ‘uber cool’ wedding photography opportunities. Woburn Sculpture gallery is a favourite and Grade 1 listed beauty, Luton Hoo, is the wedding venue of choice for celebrities, footballers and anyone else who wants something historic and special (PS the Robert Adam designed Ballroom was also the setting for the filming of that old classic Four Weddings and a Funeral).

My top 5 tips for fantastic WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY in BEDFORDSHIRE

  • Bedfordshire has some lovely countryside venues that are perfect if you want to have grandeur and space to enjoy your day. Think beautiful romantic bridal portraits amongst weeping willow trees that dip down into ornamental lakes.
  • For a more urban style to your day the modernism of somewhere like Milton Keynes may suit you. The ultra-modern piazza’s and glass fronted hotels make a great backdrop for a contemporary city wedding.
  • Maybe you want a riverside venue? Warren Weir at Luton Hoo on the banks of the River Lea is a gorgeous intimate option. As is The Bedford Swan on the banks of the River Ouse. I love riverside locations for the opportunity to be able to walk beside the river, maybe as the sun is setting, to take some beautiful wedding portraits. On a warm summers day what can be more perfect?
  • I love to photograph tipi and marquee weddings. Marquee weddings are very popular but if you want something a bit different tipi marquees are more contemporary and great fun. What’s more you can combine it with a beautiful historic location such as Turvey House.
  • And just one more tip from me: every venue will have recommended suppliers but don’t feel that you have to restrict yourself to them. For example if the photographers that are recommended aren’t your style, look at those that are. A good photographer won’t be put off by a new venue and is more likely to embrace the creative potential of it with a fresh eye.
