Madingley Hall, Cambridge

Stunning Wedding Venue on the outskirts of Cambridge

As with many ancestral properties, Madingley Hall has a story to tell. Dating back to 1543 the hall was built and subsequently extended extensively between then and about 1760 becoming in the process a glorious Baroque style property – including it seems closing off the medieval village street permanently so as not to see the village houses from the property! The property changed hands in the 19th century when it was also fully renovated before being sold to the University of Cambridge, who are the current owners and, happily for wedding couples allow hire of the hall for your special day.

The house is elegant and intimate with the Terrace Bar and Saloon both overlooking the grounds of this gorgeous venue. Designed by Capability Brown in the 18th Century they are achingly beautiful complete with meadow, woodland and of course a lake through which you are free to wander. Enjoy a celebration drink with your guests before dining in the oak panelled dining room.
